INT. MINNECINEMA - MIFF FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Do I have to be a member of MinneCinema Studios to submit a film?

A: Nope! If you're a student at the University of Minnesota, you can submit your work.

Q: How recent does my film have to be?

A: Anything made since Spring 2016.

Q: Who can attend MIFF?

A: The festival is open to anyone, not just University students. You can invite your creepy uncle, if you really wan to.

Q: I want to submit a film, but how do I do that?

A: There are a few ways you can submit a movie to MIFF. You can send it to MinneCinema Studios' email accoung  (mncinema@umn.edu) via Google Drive. You can also use DropBox to send us your films. If you know the officers or presidents, you can give it them personally through a hard drive. Otherwise, you can come to a meeting and give it to one of officers or presidents then.

Q: Can I submit more than one film?

A: Yes, you can. However, only one of your films will be screened at the festival. If you send us multiple films, we will choose what we believe to be your best film and screen that. So, if you have a particular film you want to be screen, make sure you send that film to us. Otherwise, the film we deem as best may not be the one that is your favorite or the film you are most proud of.

Q: If I have uploaded my film on YouTube, Vimeo, or a similar website, can I just email you the link?

A: Unfortunately, we are not accepting links. Files of your films will be easiest for us to organize, store, and screen the films, especially when the date of the festival comes closer.
